I've lost myself inside this cage,
This cage that I've named Lonliness,
I sit with my knees at my chest,
Trying to decide how to face this.
My skin has lost its warmth,
My eyes have lost their color,
My thoughts have turned to suicide,
I can't think any further.
I look to my side and see a light in the darkness,
A black gun that says "Rose,"
All it would take is one,
No more than one blow.
I grab the gun and point it to my head,
The dim light in my eyes seemed to flicker,
My skin was warm for only a second,
As I moved my hand and pulled the trigger.
I felt no pain as it happened,
No pain as I did this,
Because when I did I escaped it,
The cage I'd named Lonliness.
